STUD SERVICES

 

We have several purebred male SBT bengals available for stud. Please visit our "Studs" page for more information on individual studs.  (We do not offer studding to the ALC).

 

We understand how terrifying it can be to leave your queen with someone other than yourself, which is why we have installed live video streaming so you can monitor and access your queen 24/7. Upon arrival to our brand new custom stud house, you will be given a unique login and password which you can use throughout your queen's stay to check on her at anytime, day or night.  You can rest assured your queen will be well cared for during her stay at Bluegrass.

 

Our stud fee is $500 plus pick of the litter with TICA registration and full breeding/show rights. For non-TICA cats (registered with another registry) the fee is $750 plus pick of the litter. We also require your queen to be heath checked and tested within 10 days of mating with a negative fecal test, PCR panel if applicable,  negative results from FeLV and FIV testing that are less than 6 months old.  We also require a negative PK Deficinecy test, negative HCM screening, and a color test performed.

 

Once your female goes into heat, we like her to stay a minumim of 3 days, generally 3-5 days, to ensure the highest probability of successful mating.  Upon her arrial she will be placed in an adjacent "queen apartment" so that she and the male can become used to each other's scent and presence, we have found this relaxes both parties and increases the liklihood of a successful encounter.  We then place them together and will make every effort to visualize mating on at least three separate occasions.
